I picked up Olivia today and she had her nap mat in a large garbage back to bring home and wash. I asked if she spilled something on it but the EDP (after school care) teacher said her teacher sent them all home.
When I looked in her backpack, there it was.........A note from the school nurse saying that she was exposed to lice. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! The note said the kids were all checked and no additional cases of lice were found but we should and they will check the kids for the next month to make sure no one else has it.
There were 5 kids in my family and none of us ever caught head lice. Thank God. But, I know people who have children who were less fortunate and I know it was not an easy process to get rid of the lice and clean the house. I'm already freaking out about it and she doesn't even have lice. Please pray or cross your fingers or whatever works for you that she doesn't get it.
